My first Local podcast in a profesh studio! I was thrilled to be invited by Casey Scott to be on this pod because I'm a listener and a fan. Casey was a morning news anchor and someone that I watched growing up. He had his own incident with alcohol in 2018 and began hosting Project Recovery 3 years ago. I dive into how bad it actually got including my suicidal ideations towards the end. Really thankful to have been able to chat with Casey and Dr. Matt.
I dive into boredom in recovery with these three fun hosts! We talk about using it as a tool instead of a trigger. This shorter conversation also includes pieces of my story.
Alyssa and Bree are fantastic and we were able to get a little more real in this conversation about how sexual and religious trauma played a part in my addiction and story. We also discuss why it's important to seek support from people who are certified and have been trained.
The 3 guys that host this pod are super rad! I had a great convo with them where we discussed parts of my story including religious trauma, my first marriage and divorce, and all my previous attempts at quitting drinking.
I hit it off immediately with Carrie and Jen, two other Moms just trying to spread the word of recovery! We talked about the roller-coaster ride of addiction and trying to prove to others we didn't have a problem.
I was so excited to speak with Jack in Australia. My first international podcast interview! Jack and I discussed sober MOM life, how my denial played into my story and sharing my experience of addiction and recovery on Instagram.
Zach and I discussed how to handle the holidays when you're sober and a bit about sober parenting. I share some of my story and we discover that both of our spouses are "normies."
I am currently a guide for the app 'Lived' and you can find my audio courses there!
